This week we’re bringing a new Guide for training your models on DeepMode
A Quick Guide to Training Your AI Model on DeepMode
Training your AI model on Deepmode correctly is first and most important step to achieve amazing AI results.
You need to use a lot of good, different kinds of pictures. This guide will talk about what you need to train a great AI model on DeepMode.
Here’s a straightforward guide to ensure you gather the best images for training your AI:
Diversity is Key: Your photo collection should include a wide range of images of your subject including different angles, distances (closeups + full body), different outfits and so on. This helps the AI understand the full spectrum of your human appearance.
If your images are all the same boring selfies — it will show on your generations and they will be boring.
Quantity Matters: More photos mean more learning material for the AI. But remember, it’s not just about having tons of pictures; they need to be varied and high-quality.
We found that the perfect range is about 10–20 images of the subject (or anything between 5–30). 10 portrait shoulders up, 4 medium shot photos from the waist up + 2–4 full body shots.High Resolution: Use clear, sharp images. Anything above 512x512 pixels is good. This detail helps the AI pick up on the small, important features it needs to learn.
Variations: Take pictures in different places and backgrounds. This teaches the AI to recognize people no matter where they are.
Different Angles: Include close-ups, mid-shots, and full-body shots. This way, the AI gets a complete view and understanding of how your subject looks from all perspectives.
Natural Lighting: Make sure the face in your photos are clear. Use photos with good lighting. Avoid harsh shadows or filters that change how someone looks. The AI should learn from natural, real-life images.
What should you avoid?
Don’t use other people in the image. Only the subject should appear on the photos.
Don’t use sunglasses unless you want them to appear in the generations
Don’t use screenshots — they tend to have logos and other details on them that can effect the generations.
Black & white photos or bad quality photo — B&W training data tends to show on the generations. Also, even 1 bad quality photo can effect your model so try to avoid those.
By following these tips, you’ll create a diverse and richer set of AI photos to your trained model on Deepmode.
